Krishna ~ Isis ~ Buddha ~ Osiris

You and I have passed through many births,. You have forgotten, but I remember them all. My true being is unborn and changeless. I am the Lord who dwells in every creature. Through the power of my own maya, I manifest myself in a finite form. Those who know me as their own divine Self break through the belief that they are the body and are not reborn as separate creatures… ~ Krishna ~
(Bhagavad Gita chapter 4 Wisdom in Action)

For ages you have come and gone, courting this delusion. Although you appear in earthly form Your essence is pure Consciousness. You are the fearless guardian of Divine Light. So come, return to the root of the root of your own soul… ~ Rumi (In the arms of the Beloved)

Souls, are of the self-same nature in themselves, in that they are from one and the same place where the Creator modeled them; nor male nor female are they. Sex is a thing of bodies, not of Souls… ~ Isis
(the Virgin of the World page. 223 / The Wisdom of the Egyptians by Brian Brown 1923)

Learn what is right; then teach others, as the wise do. Before trying to guide others, be your own guide first. It is hard to learn to guide oneself. Your own self is your master… ~ Buddha (The Dhammapada chapter 12, Self, verse 158 – 160)

There is only one Soul in the Universe. There is no ‘you’ or ‘me’; all variety is merged into the absolute unity, the one infinite existence – God… ~ Swami Vivekananda ~ “The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda”, p.4798

The Soul is a veiled Light. When neglected, it flickers and dies out, but when it is fed with the Holy oil of Love, it shines forth like an immortal lamp… ~ Osiris the sovereign intelligence who is able to unveil all things. “The Wisdom of the Egyptians” by Brian Brown, (p. 121), 1923.

The human being has two states of consciousness; one in this world, the other in the next. But there is a third state between them, not unlike the world of dreams, in which we are aware of both worlds, with their sorrows and joys. When a person dies, it is only the physical body that dies; that person lives on in a nonphysical body, which carries the impressions of their past life… ~ Brihadaranyaka Upanishad ~ chapter 4 The States of Consciousness

The Alchemists of Antiquity used the magic formula for Enlightenment: "Visita Inferiora Terrae Rectificando Invenies Occultum Lapidem," or "Seek out the lower reaches of the earth, perfect them, and you will find the hidden stone"—the treasured philosopher's stone.
Jungian psychologists might describe the process this way: Engage in a relationship with the wounded and sickly parts of yourself, refine them, and you will awaken your hidden Divinity.

Magnum Opus - The Great Work
"All Religions and all Sciences connect themselves with one single science, always hidden from the common herd, and transmitted from age to age, from initiate to initate, beneath the veil of fables and symbols."
"The magnum opus is pre-eminently the creation of man by himself, that is, the full and complete conquest which he can make of his faculties and his future; it is pre-eminently the perfect emancipation of his will." - -Eliphas Levi

"The Great Pyramid was not a lighthouse, an observatory, or a tomb, but the first temple of the Ancient Mysteries, the first structure erected as a repository for those secret truths which are a certain foundation of all the arts and sciences. It was the perfect emblem of the microcosm and the macrocosm. Through the mystic passageways and chambers of the Great Pyramid passed the illumined of antiquity. They entered its portals as men; they came forth as Gods. It was the place of the “second birth,” the “womb of the Mysteries,” and wisdom dwelt in it as God dwells in the hearts of men. Thus in one sense the Great Pyramid may be likened to a gate through which the ancient priests permitted a few to pass toward the attainment of individual completion."
-Manly P. Hall ~The Pyramid Mysteries

"When the alchemist speaks of Mercurius, on the face of it he means quicksilver (mercury), but inwardly he means the world-creating spirit concealed or imprisoned in matter. The dragon is probably the oldest pictoral symbol in alchemy of which we have documentary evidence. It appears as the Ouroboros, the tail-eater, in the Codex Marcianus, which dates from the tenth or eleventh century, together with the legend ‘the One, the All’.
Time and again the alchemists reiterate that the opus proceeds from the one and leads back to the one, that it is a sort of circle like a dragon biting its own tail. For this reason the opus was often called circulare (circular) or else rota (the wheel). Mercurius stands at the beginning and end of the work: he is the prima materia, the caput corvi, the nigredo; as dragon he devours himself and as dragon he dies, to rise again in the lapis.
He is the play of colours in the cauda pavonis and the division into the four elements. He is the hermaphrodite that was in the beginning, that splits into the classical brother-sister duality and is reunited in the coniunctio, to appear once again at the end in the radiant form of the lumen novum, the stone. He is metallic yet liquid, matter yet spirit, cold yet fiery, poison and yet healing draught - a symbol uniting all the opposites." .  Carl Jung Psychology and Alchemy

Perfect knowledge of Self is required to attain Knowledge of Divinity. For when you can "Gno" the God within yourself, it will be possible to obtain a vision of the God of the All. For man is the Microcosm of the Macrocosom; the God on earth is built in the pattern of the God in Nature.
The Great Hermetic axiom was: "That which is above is like unto that which is below, and that which is below is like unto that which is above."

"...a trained occultist, especially if of high grade, has an exceedingly magnetic personality, and this is apt to prove disturbing to those who are unaccustomed to high- tension psychic forces. For whereas the person who is ripe for development will unfold the higher consciousness rapidly in the atmosphere of a high-grade initiate, the person who is not ready may find these influences profoundly disturbing." -Dion Fortune, Psychic Self-Defense

The Second Death is a mechanical process in nature experienced by those souls who within the allotted time fail to reach union with their inner divinity (i.e. known as self-realization, liberation, religare, yoga , moksha, etc). The Second Death is the complete dissolution of the ego (karma, defects, sins) in the infernal regions of nature, which after unimaginable quantities of suffering, proportional to the density of the psyche, in the end purifies the Essence (Consciousness) so that it may try again to perfect itself and reach the union with the Being.
